Welcome to University IT

Starting at university means getting familiar with a few new systems and services. Our Student IT induction webinar is a virtual training session delivered through Microsoft Teams by a member of our Digital Skills training team. It will give you a simple introduction to the University IT you’ll need and help you know what to expect when you begin your studies.

What to expect

During the webinar, we’ll take you through the key IT services and systems you’ll use as a student. You’ll find out how to get set up, access University systems, connect your devices and Wi-Fi, save and access your work, use key learning platforms, and find IT help and support when you need it.

The session is designed as a starting point for University IT, so you do not need any previous knowledge. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions about getting set up and using University IT services.

You only need to attend one session. Each webinar covers the same content, so choose the date that works best for you.
