Win a fitness tracker by creating lunch in a jar

What delicious food can be made at home and brought to campus? Take part in the #ZeroWasteJar campaign and show off your culinary creativity on a budget.

Prepping food at home saves money, cuts waste and is usually healthier too.

Bring your own jar or container to uni packed with your favourite lunch recipe – whether it's overnight oats, layered salads or hot winter stews.

Share a picture on Instagram tagged with #ZeroWasteJar by Friday 7 February, and the best will win a fitness tracker.

Shopping Basket Challenge and free finance advice

During the rest of the week, you can drop into the pop-up stalls on campus to take part in competitions and get free advice. Take the Shopping Basket Challenge and guess the difference in price between the branded shopping basket and the non branded basket.

Whoever guesses the closest wins the expensive shopping basket (and a runner up will receive the cheaper basket).

Find the stall at:

  • Tuesday 4 February, 12.00pm – 3.00pm – Eldon foyer
  • Wednesday 5 February, 1.00pm – 4.00pm – Third Space at the Students’ Union as part of Feel Good Fest
