Welcome

Whether you're starting your postgraduate course with us or returning after your first year, we're pleased to welcome you to the University. We hope you're excited to get started.

University arrangements for Monday 19 September

Induction activities on Monday 19 September have been rescheduled for the funeral of Her Majesty The Queen, which will now be a UK bank holiday.

We will email you to confirm that your timetable has been updated.

Accessing your online accounts

If your induction includes online activities, you'll need your student account details to access them. Your username will consist of 'UP' followed by your student ID number (for example, UP123456).

You’ll also need to log into Moodle to find all the details about your course. You’ll only have access to Moodle once you complete your registration with us.

10.00am - 12.00pm: Induction Presentation

Welcome to MA Postgraduate study at Portsmouth. This is an opportunity to find find out more about studying at postgraduate MA level and meet your tutors and fellow students. You have have the chance to meet your course tutor and subject groups separately after this event.

Friday 23 September

12.00pm - 1.00pm: Course Introduction

International and EU students

If you're joining us from overseas, find out about our International Orientation events and what you need to do during your first weeks.

You'll need to join us in Portsmouth for the start of course. Information about registering, collecting your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP card) and ID checks for the new academic year will be sent to you by email.
