Economics. Finance And Banking BSc Econ (Hons) - Year 2: Induction information

Welcome

Welcome to Portsmouth. While it's been a strange couple of years, we hope you're excited to continue your life at university.

Now that things are opening up, we hope you'll take every opportunity to thrive in your studies, career, hobbies and social life. Delve into your chosen subject, make friends for life, and develop skills to prepare you for a successful career after your studies.

We wish you every success in everything you do here at Portsmouth.

Accessing your online accounts

If your induction includes online activities, you'll need your student account details to access them. Your username will consist of 'UP' followed by your student ID number (for example, UP123456).

You’ll also need to log into Moodle to find all the details about your course. You’ll only have access to Moodle once you complete your registration with us.

If you're having problems logging into any University systems, please contact the Service Desk – call +44 023 9284 7777 or email servicedesk@port.ac.uk.

International and EU students

If you're joining us from overseas, find out about our International Orientation events and what you need to do during your first weeks.

We encourage you to join us in Portsmouth as soon as possible. But If you're unable to join us on campus due to visa, country, travel or other restrictions, you can study with us online. However, for some of our courses it is not possible to join online so you will need to be on campus to study these courses. Further information can be found in the International Students Coronavirus FAQs page. You need to let us know how you will be studying when you register, by indicating whether you'll be studying on campus or remotely. Information about registering and ID checks for the new academic year will be sent to you by email.

Keep in mind that event times and locations might change at short notice.

We recommend you bookmark, favourite or save a link to this webpage so you can revisit it before you arrive and when you're on campus.
