Economics. Finance And Banking BSc Econ (Hons) - Year 1: Induction information
Welcome to Portsmouth and the first year of your degree. While it's been a strange couple of years, and your journey here might not have gone the way you expected, we hope you're excited to start your new life at university.
Now that things are opening up, we hope you'll take every opportunity to thrive in your studies, career, hobbies and social life. Over the next few years, you'll delve into your chosen subject, make friends for life, and develop skills to prepare you for a successful career after your studies.

Accessing your online accounts
If your induction includes online activities, you'll need your student account details to access them. Your username will consist of 'UP' followed by your student ID number (for example, UP123456).
You’ll also need to log into Moodle to find all the details about your course. You’ll only have access to Moodle once you complete your registration with us.

International and EU students
We encourage you to join us in Portsmouth as soon as possible. But If you're unable to join us on campus due to visa, country, travel or other restrictions, you can study with us online. However, for some of our courses it is not possible to join online so you will need to be on campus to study these courses. Further information can be found in the International Students Coronavirus FAQs page. You need to let us know how you will be studying when you register, by indicating whether you'll be studying on campus or remotely. Information about registering and ID checks for the new academic year will be sent to you by email.
