University arrangements for Monday 19 September

Induction activities on Monday 19 September have been rescheduled for the funeral of Her Majesty The Queen, which will now be a UK bank holiday.

We will email you to confirm that your timetable has been updated.

Accessing your online accounts

If your induction includes online activities, you'll need your student account details to access them. Your username will consist of 'UP' followed by your student ID number (for example, UP123456).

You’ll also need to log into Moodle to find all the details about your course. You’ll only have access to Moodle once you complete your registration with us.

Meet your Course Leader and find out everything you need to know about your course.

You will meet your personal tutor and your tutor group.

An opportunity to get to know people on your course with fun activities.

Thursday 22 September

9.00am - 12.00pm: Meet your research supervisor

On Thursday morning, you will have the opportunity to meet with your research supervisor.

Tutorials will be arranged with your tutor, who will contact you directly.

Friday 23 September

9.00am - 10.00am: Course rep meeting (online)

If you were not able to attend the meeting in person on Wednesday, this is an opportunity to find out more about becoming a Course rep.

10.00am - 11.00am: Start developing your professional identity

During this session, you will meet representatives of our careers & employability services, and the placements team, as well as alumni and students with professional experience to start discussions on your aspirations and develop professional networking skills.

International and EU students

If you're joining us from overseas, find out about our International Orientation events and what you need to do during your first weeks.

You'll need to join us in Portsmouth for the start of course. Information about registering, collecting your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP card) and ID checks for the new academic year will be sent to you by email.
