The following checklists will help when arranging additional academic support:
Check List for Students Eligible for DSA
We encourage eligible students/applicants to apply for additional support through the Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA). Information about the DSA and additional evidence requirements can be found on the following link: Extra funding
- Obtain suitable evidence (check DSA requirements)
- Apply for DSA.
- Book a Needs Assessment (Once DSA1 letter received from Funding Authority).
- Provide ASDAC with a copy of your Needs Assessment and Diagnostic evidence.
- Arrange DSA support (Once DSA2 letter received from Funding Authority).
- Contact ASDAC to discuss additional academic support with a Disability Officer.
Check list for students not eligible for DSA
If you are a Global student/applicant or studying on/due to start a course that does not qualify for DSA (e.g. Degree Apprenticeship), we would advise you to contact us to discuss alternative funding options for additional academic support.
- Provide ASDAC with a copy of your evidence where possible
- Contact ASDAC to discuss additional Academic support with a Disability Officer.
