This article provides information regarding confidentiality surrounding complaints.

A written complaint will be copied to any person who is the subject of the complaint and/or to the Head of Department or School from which the complaint arises. The school / department will be responsible for investigating the complaint to begin with at least, unless it is more appropriate to ask someone from outside the school / department to carry out the investigation.

This will be explained before the investigation begins. The University expects that all documents produced by the complaint and subsequent investigation will remain confidential to the parties involved in the complaint.
