This article includes information about possible support the University can provide disabled students/ students needing additional support to help with their studies.
As well as own our in-house specialist 1-to-1 study skills and assistive technology tuition services, we may be able to advise on support which is not funded through your Disabled Students’ Allowance.
The University has limited resources to provide what is now determined as Band 1 and 2 support under the DSA Guidelines. To ensure we meet your needs effectively, we will need to speak with you early in the application for support process or at an individual interview once you have registered onto your course.
We do not provide the support directly but will liaise with an agency to ensure we offer you the most appropriate support. We will monitor this support and adjust it as required, you are welcome to discuss this further at any time during your studies.
For more information on the additional support and disability advice see the article on ASDAC.
