This article will explain under what circumstances a student may have to have an interim examination.

If you do not seem to be progressing at the anticipated rate at any point during your studies, an Interim Examination can be requested by the supervisory team to provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate that your standard of work and commitment to the work is sufficient to continue the registration. You will be notified that an Interim Examination will be arranged to assess the standard of your work.
