This article will explain who your supervisors are during your Research Degree Programme.

Your First Supervisor is your lead supervisor. As a Postgraduate Research Student (PGRS) you will have at least two but not more than three supervisors. In addition, an adviser, or advisers, may be nominated to contribute specialised knowledge.

Within the supervisory team there will be expertise relevant to your research project, as well as experience of supervising PGRS. Professional Doctorate students are expected to have one or more advisers from their professional environment. Details of the members of your supervisory team can be accessed within Skills Forge once your Research Student Registration (RSR) Form has been received in the Research Section, Academic Registry.
