Windows 11 is Microsoft's first major Operating System upgrade in 6 years. The University will be undertaking extensive testing and planning before upgrading any of its owned and managed devices such as on-campus computers. It is expected this will take place in 2022.
However, if you own a compatible windows 10 device, you will be offered this free upgrade by mid-2022.
To ensure you can continue to use University apps and resources the following services have been tested and are compatible with Windows 11:
- Wi-Fi (eduroam & UoP Guest)
- VPN
- AppsAnywhere - if you find any apps that do not work, please report them to our team
- Library Resources
- Printing
- UoP Websites
- Video Conferencing e.g Zoom
