Summer work at the University as a graduation assistant

We are currently recruiting a pool of casual staff to work with the Department of Student and Academic Administration (DSAA) to support the in-person Graduation ceremonies taking place between 5 July – 30 July.

What you need to know

  • The work will take place on campus with appropriate PPE and safety measures in place.

  • You should have recent customer service experience with good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels as well as an understanding of health and safety procedures and an ability to follow outlined procedures.

  • We require you to be available to work all of the work sessions that are allocated and undertake the full training provided by the DSAA. The time for this training is paid for at the normal rate, however, if an offer of work is not accepted or taken up the training time will not be paid for.

  • Successful applicants will be informed by email after the deadline date and exact days and hours of work will be confirmed at a later date closer to the event.

  • The rate of pay for all posts is £9.50 per hour.

  • You will be paid for this work at the end of August.

  • Please note that you may not be required for all days of the Graduation period, and the number of hours available will vary.
