Staff are invited to an event that will provide an update on our journey to becoming a civic university

In 2019, the University of Portsmouth was among the first universities to commit to developing a Civic University Agreement and to embed this commitment in our University strategy. This is an opportunity for the University to work with other leading organisations in the region to have a meaningful and positive impact on our city and its residents.

Hear more about our commitment, our partners and the beneficial role we play in our city from Prof Sherria Hoskins who leads on delivering this part of our strategy.

Sherria will outline the vision of what it means to be a civic university, the background to the initiative and the importance of working with local partners. She will explain how becoming a civic university is a key part of the University's strategy and talk about some of our existing successes such as student volunteering, helping businesses, and the new teaching academy.

Ask questions in advance using this Google form, or in the Q&A at the event.
