This year, we’re excited to be back celebrating the Festival of Doctoral Research in-person and also online

You can sign-up to join the day here, and if you’re a current postgraduate research degree student, you can take part as a presenter or by entering our prize winning competitions below.

What’s happening at this year’s festival?

Our 2022 event takes place in-person and online on Thursday 7 July from 09.30am-6.00pm. The festival will include talks, competitions, and panel discussions. The event will be held in Eldon Building and online via Zoom, and you can register as an attendee.

Research presentations

Disseminate your research. Ten 15 minute slots are available throughout the day for you to present a paper about your work. Find out more about submitting an application to present.

Student competitions

Current doctoral and MRes students across all faculties are encouraged to apply for the competitions and to take part on the day. Prizes will be awarded for the winners.
