If you wear glasses, or simply need your eyes tested, the University of Portsmouth Eye Clinic can help you. The clinic offers a full check-up and prescription service, glasses and contact lenses, and aftercare services.

We are staffed by fully qualified optometrists who will supervise second and third year optometry students as they gain clinical experience.

What we offer

  • contact lens assessments
  • specialist clinics for children
  • evaluations of eye conditions such as macular degeneration, glaucoma and eye-related effects of diabetes
  • a low vision assessment if you're registered partially sighted or sight impaired

We offer a range of glasses and contact lenses to buy at affordable prices. If you choose to buy frames and lenses from us, you can get discounts on all types - including bifocals, varifocals, specialist coated lenses and sunglasses. Or you can take your prescriptions to a high street provider.
